For some unaccountable reason fame and fortune keep eluding me. Never mind; what matter general apathy and indifference to a Composer of Scots Songs? The songs keep on coming anyway, and here are another twenty of them. Don’t expect passionate love songs or declarations of fervent political commitment, though. Such things are a young man’s game, and I am not only getting on a bit, but am also, as one of the current offerings points out, a “torn-faced get”.
